## AFM: Trig functions and Models HW

This was the most difficult unit for a lot of you. We are going to simplify it while reviewing to focus on some key parts. The entire group of these Khan Academy assignments will count as a weighted grade.

1. Midline of sinusoidal functions from graph
2. amplitude of sinusoidal functions from graph
3. midline of sinusoidal functions from equation
4. amplitude of sinusoidal functions from equation
5. period of sinusoidal functions from graph
6. period of sinusoidal functions from equation
7. graph sinusoidal functions
8. construct sinusoidal functions
9. modeling w/ sinusoidal functions
10. sinusoidal models word problems

## AFM Triangles Homework

In addition to completing the triangles myopenmath all students are also required to complete the following Khan Academy Assignments:

1. Solve triangles using the law of sines
2. Solve triangles using the law of cosines
3. General triangle word problems

This extra practice will go into the gradebook as a weighted assignment.

## Precal Rational Function Quiz Remediation

Any student who scored below a 70 is required to complete the assignment. Once completed you are eligible for a retake.

1. The chapter 2 myopenmath assignment must be 100%
1. End behavior of rational functions
2. rational function points of discontinuity
3. Analyze vertical asymptotes of rational functions
4. Graphs of rational functions

## PreCal Polynomial Quiz Remediation

The grades for the polynomial quiz have been put into powerschool. Retakes are permitted for a grade replacement once remediation has been completed.

Any student who scored below a 70 is REQUIRED to complete the following:

–> Complete the following Khan Academy Assignments (they have already been sent to you, go to your profile and coach recommendations)

• Multiply Complex Numbers
• Use the polynomial remainder theorem
• Factor Polynomials: Complex numbers
• Solve quadratic equations: complex solutions
• Find zeros of polynomials
• Zeros of polynomials & their graphs
• positive & negative intervals of polynomials
• end behavior of polynomials

–> IT is assigned to these students every day until work is completed. All are due by friday. Quiz retakes should take place on this day also!

Any student who scored above a 70 that wants to retake the quiz:

–> Email me saying that you wish to do so

–> I will then send you the same list of recommendations and requirements

## AFM Quiz: Logarithms Remediation & Retakes

Any student who scored below a 70 on the quiz is required to complete the remediation by 10/7. These have already been sent to you Khan Academy accounts.

1. Evaluate logarithms
3. Relationship between exponentials and logarithms
4. use the properties of logarithms
5. solve exponential equations using logarithms: Base 10 and e
6. solve exponential equations using logarithms: base-2 and other bases
7. graphs of logarithmic functions

## AB Calc Test 1: Remediation

The final scores for the first quiz have been put into power school. Half of the grade was from the multiple choice and the other half was from the free-response.

All students who scored below a 75 have mandatory remediation assignments to complete on Khan Academy. All of these assignments are to be completed by 9/30 and you can schedule to retake the test. These assignments have already been sent to you on Khan Academy.
